Just tell paypal and get the money back. Then dig up his website, and you know what do it. ;)

Good luck, if I see him, I'll kick his ass for you. :)

Too many scammers around here - people who accept your cash in a flash but don't deliver the goods when the time comes. I despair.

    Coincidentally....

Scams are a way of life, no way around that short of just not doing business online. As you continue to work online, you will find ways around them. The "it's too good to be true" approach is a good one. After that, it's really a best guess. I wouldn't say it's DP per say as you will see fraud in any forum, best approach is just to be cautious and learn from mistakes. Also you have to remember a lot of things can be simple misunderstandings, that does happen a lot to, the trick is not to take it personal. My two cents.

I am not excusing any bad behavior but as someone who has personally closed over 400 deals I can tell you that it's not DP's job to police this place, it would just be too unmanageable. They are graceful enough to provide what support they do. It's up to the users to act like adults. I know the pain as I have both on all sides of the coin, have lost money, have been accused of things, have received bad feedback and have managed to work out problems. At the end of the day it's up to you to do what you can to manage your issues, not DP. If anything, you are going to see more support on DP than any other forum which is probably one of the reasons for it's popularity but if anything, the more popular something is, the more fraud in terms of #'s you are going to see.
