Starting Work With New Company

    Hello;
    I have been working primarily for one company as their copywriter for the past two years. I have become accustomed to one style, ghost write blog articles. A new company contacted me, gave me five assignments with very little information. One article was already written and I was asked to edit it and give it a title. Right away, I could see this was copy for a website written in the first person. I am now trying to get the company to give me more details on what they want before I start and now I haven't heard from them.

    Has anybody had this kind of experience or am I missing something. Is there and industry standard here I'm not seeing?

    Thanks

    Long story short, you have to be adaptable.

    But when did you contact them? Given that we're in the weekend now, I wouldn't expect anything until at least Monday. I have some clients who respond immediately to questions, and others that can take weeks. There really is no standard. I wouldn't worry too much yet. If it's been a week or more, gently nudge them with a clarifying question on Monday, referring back to your unanswered email.
