Starting with a sub-domain to test site

    I was thinking of starting a new site and just using a sub-domain for starters to get the site indexed. Will I run into any problems with search engines when I switch the site to a different domain?

    you will need to use a 301 redirect to pass on any pr you gained and backlinks
