Starting up my first blog

Right i am thinking on getting my first blog going i have got the domain already but want to know the best type of blogging software to use? I have seen alot that use wordpress which was what i was going to look into getting but also want to know any others that i could use. have a quick question first.

How easy is it to edit the themes for blogs or the cost of a theme?

 

I would definitely recommend wordpress, no two ways about it

WP is free. The only thing you have to pay for is hosting ..

 

Yep wordpress is the way to go, very easy to use and edit theme.

Have a look at the signature for a free wordpress theme.

WordPress is best. Themes are free and WP will host your site for free too. However, I recommend that you get paid hosting as you'll have full control over your blog and not have to worry that someone will one day delete it.

I would recommend that you use the permalinks feature of wordpress for sure

So far have have wordpress installed and is great i have a few problems i changed the theme and i aint good at editing the title of "your blog name" to what i want my one to be i went to photoshop to try and edit this but never worked as i i aint used the program that much. the other problem is i changed Blogroll to links but the image it has above it stayed blogroll i looked all over of ware to edit this to make it say links or Featured Sponsors please can someone help me out here would be really helpful
