I was thinking of starting up a reseller website and wondering if there is any good money in doing so? And how would you market it? Only in your local areas to start in or the whole state/country etc? And where would you buy a reseller account from?
If you already have clients, like if you're a web designer, having a reseller account is very profitable (as in the profit rate is pretty high). But if you're looking to become a new web hosting company, you'd probably have to work extremely hard to enter the saturated market.
If you want to be a host, it might be difficult to get clients at first. But if you want to only host your own sites or you already have a client base, then I don't see the problem.
I wouldnt recommend it to be honest, to much competition and like awinsjclarke said it will be very hard to get clients. Also personally I only host with hosting companies now which have been around for a while, because I hate it when your host dies on you, and therefore Im sure most people will do the same, hence why it will be a problem getting clients.
Yes,its still profitable industry. I advise you start small from your local, then only go for international. I buy it from godaddy.
If you have regular customer base, and intend to make more profits - it is time you begin as a reseller. While it is good to make it popular on national / state level, eventually you would connect with your local folks the most who would give you a lot more business - so start with balanced approach, focus on local as well as national market. We offer the cheapest reseller accounts at pubdomainshost.com and you may view the choices for Super Reseller / Basic Reseller on the site. Thx
