Starting to monetize.

My website started as an SEO project. My first time doing SEO and it worked out pretty well. My SERPs are decent and I'm planning to improve them over the coming weeks.

The site is now six months old and my traffic is steadily rising by about 100 uniques extra each month. And even doubling this month. From 400 uniques in October to over 500 this month so far (only 15 days).

Do you think it's time for me to monetize the site?

I'm thinking of using Adsense because it's so common and easy. But any other suggestions would help.

    Thanks.

I would start small when it comes to earning money from your website. Like you said, adsense, but not all over your site. Help your visitors get used to the ads.

Start out with 1 or 2 ads, just below your blog posts.

As the poster above said - don't scare off your visitors by putting lots of adverts - bring it in slowly, and make sure you don't loose the point of your website.

Try promote your site through ads and exchanging them or affiliating yours to other people as an exchange.

    What's your site's topic?

Create a newsletter and start getting those leads. You
want to turn that traffic into repeat visitors and there's
nothing better to do that than with email.

I would say it depends on the topic, that amount of visitors is more than enough in some niches, but not in all. And like someone said, do it slowly, do not add tons of ads at one time. One Adsense block is enough to begin with!
