Starting To Learn....

    GIMP.

    I have never tried to create graphics before, so I don't want to invest my money into Photoshop yet. However I have GIMP, I want to learn how to make images like those on the following forum:

    See how it as stripes and then something through the middle making one half lighter then the other. I want to make these images, lots of websites use this and I like it.

    Anyone know how, or know of a tutorial on how to do this?

    Yeah I done this, I just changed the colors and I used paint. :D
