ok im new here and new to this. surely this is duplicate content? so you can get ranked highly by copying stuff from other peoples' sites? And you say ads are being clicked, how much are you making? sorry im new cheers
syndicated content, duplicated would be if i had the whole article on there.. (in the same way google news isn't duplicated content) ranked highly, not by copying, by combining, and by being quick ad's, it varies, goes up by day, and obviously the relevancy of content to click worthy ad's has a huge bearing.. there's not too many ad's worth clicking for phrases like "january 1st"!
So this is all automated yes? Did you make a script for sydnicating the content. I guess what I mean is do you decide how much of the story to use on your site or does the site you're getting it from decide. In other words could I manually "syndicate" a news story to put on my site by just taking the first 100 words or whatever then adding a read more link? OR is syndicated content more complicated than that. Thanks, sorry for the probably stupid questions.
rss mate, it's the only (legal) way - either that or content generation.. which i do a bit of, but it's not as good (yet), unless you combine the two processes
Okay, so you have a list of RSS feeds and your script groups the relative ones together, is that right? Thanks.
something like.. worker script 1: searches the net hunting for new emerging search trends worker script 2: analsyes the search trends and verifies them, then try's to find related news and blogs (from a few sources) worker script 3, picks the best, combines them, pre saves them as a page worker script 4: publishes them at random times and alerts major servers of there existence (+ 2 dedicated servers and 500 other scripts) oh and 3 files to display the results!
How can you find new emerging trends, surely how many people search for what on google and other search engines is not publicly available? Finds the news and blogs and then gets the RSS feed from them so can post a fraction of the story on your site yes? Thanks for all your help, and well done on your site
