Starting the day with high CPC ending it with low CPC

ok, so I am curious, when I look in the morning to my adsense account, I usually get like around 0.60 CPC for the first clicks, but as the day progresses, this just seems to go lower and lower right up to 0.20 CPC. I have become curious why this is?

Any ideas?

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, I think at the beginning of the day what you see is the approximate revenues and at the end of the day, the total revenue.

 

never care or talk about today's earnings, pure waste of time.

 

I think that it maybe happened to you, GA don't allow some other ads that appear on websites with same their ads, such as ads with adult content, so look to your ads again...

 

hmm well, im optimizing my site and ads pretty well. I get a decent income, just never really understood why in the morning it counts the CPC much higher then when closing the day. I think maybe some other sites with a very low CPC are bringing the average CPC down overal.

 

Ok I will explain it like this.

Lets say at 8am you have 10 cliks and a CPC of $1.00
Say those clicks are all valid and are coming from the US.

Now lets say by 8pm you have 100 clicks and a CPC of .50
but those clicks are from a mixture of countries and some
of those clicks are not valid.

Keep in mind that it appears that google does not take away
the invalid clicks but only the income from those invalid clicks.
This would decrease your CPC. In some cases drastically.

Now go back and look at all the countries that you received
clicks from. While the US may still be a $1 CPC, how many
countries are lower? In some cases some countries may be as
low as $.01 meaning the more clicks you get in countries that
are lower CPC the lower your CPC will be.

Really the CPC is not as much of a big deal, it is the Page RPM.
Rate Per Mill, think of it like this...would you like to have 10
clicks with a CPC of .60 or 500 clicks with the a CPC of .5.
That would give you more money but a lower CPC and a higher
RPM

 

yes, i figured it would be other sites bringing it down, though wondered why this happened. Would it be better to remove those countries then with a low cpc? or do I just leave with it and try to get more clicks and RPM rate. I just dont want to get to a situation where they start paying out 0.01 CPC if u see what i mean. What would be a good way to get the RPM up, this is the the amount of impressions vs the amount of income right? so i need to either get more clicks by positning the ads better or i need to get more relevant ads so that it converts better vs the impressions. Right? lol
