Hi all - just started up another site. I am thinking of a different plan this time around in terms of SEO. With my first site, I got the site up and then submitted to all SE's. Basically, with this second site, I am thinking of just building links to the site and letting the search engines find me, for one, in the hope this may allay some of the sandbox effect (don't know if it will). Any thoughts?
I got a single very relevant link from a PR7 site with one of my new sites and had every page indexed within a week.
Ultamitely, "submission" to search engines is a thing of the past, and it should not be done. If, with advanced searching technology, they can't find you, then why should they bother listing/ranking you?! All you need is a significant number of "inbound links" (2 or more) from sites which have already been "indexed" / "listed".
i agree with darrin ward, manual submission is like ages efore, infact havingto submit to such maual submission may result affecting the time your going to be ranked, i have a site before , a dating site, it got listed after 5 months... hell lost amount of money during that time. So the best way is just get inbound links ok. =)
