starting proxy hosting?

    hello.

    i have been playing with the idea of starting a webhosting service for proxys only. and i just have to ask, as a single person, do you think i could manage this? and how popular do you think proxy hosting would be ?

    If it was cheap and offered a lot of different ip addresses per account so users could pick an ip per domain name. I think it would be a decent niche to break into.

    I *think* CloakHost.com is run by one person. It is a proxy only hosting site that is very successful. If it is not run by one person then I am sure the one person I am thinking of does most of the work.

    So yes, I think you can manage it on your own if you want to start one. And proxy hosting is already popular ;)

    of course you can manage it..as long as you are dedicated for your customers.

    also make sure you dont put extras on your server to make it solely for proxy users..that way proxy hosting you provide will be of quality.

    and do not offer cheap that to cover for 1 server fee, you have to sell many times more specs than the server itself can handle. That is bad. Only sell for quality price.. Remeber if you oversell very cheap with proxy hosting, you'll be out of the game pretty soon, because proxies = if not thought thoroughly, they are resource hogs.

    And mainly do not get intmidated by other sellers offering for VERY low prices and "customers" only posting in their threads/deals...those "customers" become YOUR customers after few months..or days or even hours if you provide quality hosting and be patience. :)

    Soley proxy hosting is a great idea and if i had the money to put in to buying a server or two or ten or hey why not a million then i would. Offer simple but good deals at cheap prices and you will be swinging, make sure you ve researched and got up to stratch with everything technical. You dont want the hosting servers to crash or anything, that would lose you money and repuatation.

    After you feel comfortable in taking this business on, advertise on here and you will be swimming in it, make the first ten buys or so cheap and ask for reviews back for the cheap hosting make sure they are positive reviews by offering a stable smooth and quick hosting service and you will soon be making the big buxx.
