Not sure if any of you knew this or not, but starting point directory has turned paid, they are no longer offering free listings. For $99 you get a guarantees review of your site. http://www.stpt.com/directory/addsite.htm

What do you guys think about that? Do you think that a listing there is worth $99.

LOL! The original poster isn't spamming a site of his own. Starting Point is an old and (I thought) well-known search engine, been around for awhile.

Some pages have pr6 other have pr0 on some categories I see very little number of listings so that is good.
The Alexa is in the range of 12,000
I think $99/year is probably pushing it..

I also noticed that a lot of their old listings are gone? I had several listings in there (from when they were free), and they are all gone. They were legitimate listings to legitimate websites ... that I spent legitimate hours getting listed!

Is it just me, or is it a bad business idea to purge people, piss them off, and then ask them to drop twice as much $$ as comparable directories??

Good luck is what I say.
