Starting Over with Adwords

    Hello,

I set up an Adwords account for the company I was working for last January and had moderate success with my campaign. I left in December to finish school, and have recently returned working for the same company. It seems my successor took over the Adwords campaign, and totally killed my CTR with vague terms, using the display/content network, and not having much idea of what to do besides sticking key words in. They racked up millions of impressions with relatively few clicks.

What I'm wondering is, should/can I start over? The company sells B2B with a fairly unique product, so getting a lot of clicks seems unlikely and I feel as though improving my CTR in any reasonable amount of time is impossible.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Spencer

It might not be easy, because google effectively "punishes" ads that are not relevant. You may have trouble pointing ads at the same URL from a different AdWords account, but I would try that first.

If all your successor did what pause things, simply pause (or delete if you want) his stuff and un-pause your original. But chances are, he edited your ads which in effect deletes them and you have to re-create the ads. At least you can un-delete keywords he may have by simply re-entering them exactly as before. Basically, undo everything he did that is a detriment to the campaign.

Do not create a new account.

you can delete the campaign and start over again but it take time to approve for Google Adwords.
If you wish to get more quality traffic. Then maybe you need to more focus on Google Search which will bring lesser bounce rate.
The CTR maybe less but higher conversion rate.

from experience, the rate at which this occur is not consistent.
At times, there will no be down time, other times, the down time can be as long as 3 to 7 days.

    Thanks again.

I've decided to start again, but I'm not quite sure how. I've been looking for an option to delete my account, but I've not seen anything. Do I just start a new account, and just stop spending on my current account?

Try to point ads at the same URL from a different AdWords account . May be things will seem better and serve your purpose .
