starting over - blogging

    hey everyone, been a while since I've posted here, i used to go by NewsGirl, now I've started some new things and needed a refreshing start. I'm getting into the whole blog scene so i'm here to find tips/tricks. looking to find ways to increase traffic, PR, and adsense info. any help is greatly appreciated.

    i'm single, 27 yr old living in Illinois, currently in canada visiting friends. i enjoy being a computer nerd, gaming, blogging etc. look forward to talking with you guys !

    First up hassle this guy to get BlogParty working again.

    Secondly, use WordPress or some other self hosted-you-are-in-control software not blogger

    Thirdly, use categories, don't have a million different blogs

    Fourth, don't put pressure on yourself to write, have fun, and if you get flamed take it in your stride

    Fifth, check for comment spam, often!

    And feel free to compete with Cathy and InsolentPrick - I love reading their tall tales!

    Well you're lucky to have a big brother to show you the ropes. There are a few family connections round here. Look hard enough and you'll find them.

    You might want to ask him how to optimise that photo where you have your hand in the air. I'm guessing you're holding a fish but it took too long to download ;)
