Hi, I'm just starting, and one of the things I need some help is: the website where I will sell the service,(my main domain) does the hosting company gives you some ready made template or should I create one from scratch and inlcude a shopping cart? If so, do you know any ready to use templates to buy? Thanks.
Some hosting companies provide templates for you, but I do recommend having a custom-made design specifically for you, as the website is your company's face. It will increase your credibility amongst prospective clients there are so many ready to use templates available in the net, this is one marketplace I can recommend for you to start from, themeforest.net For shopping cart and billing purposes, I recommend WHMCS, ClientExec or HostBill.
I believe that you should contact your possible reseller host to ask them about template and shopping cart providing, some featured hosts do that
if you are looking for reseller plan that provides you reselling site's or hosting company like web templates, and free web templates for your clients, there is no other choice but the Hostgator web hosting. They have reseller web templates included in their reseller web hosting plan.
I use a theme from themeforest and whmcs. Always goes custom, if you are starting a business, you'll be unique
There are tons of companies that provide templates to their clients, not just HostGator. Let's not get carried away.
well, I already got the reseller account, now looking for a theme and best way to integrate, since this won't be a normal hosting company. There will be only one product (hosting+domain) with two payment types. The issue now is that if I mount it with a WHMCS template, will a person with no coding skills be able to update the frontpage content?
If by "no coding skills" means no knowledge at HTML and CSS at all, then no, they won't be able to update the frontpage content. To exactly do that, you should integrate CMS (e.g Wordpress) into your website.
that's what I thought. I'll install a WP on the frontpage , I prefer not to be called every time they need to modify a phrase. Thanks
Depend on your hosting company. Some bundle together with website. You need whmcs for billing purpose.
That's a really good start, and will make your life a lot easier on a long road, but keep this in mind, some hosting company stay with .html (non-dynamic) content because they want to keep their website load as fast as possible.
yes, I was thinking of that, but then I thought about the people that will manage the site, and they know nothing about html and css. ***** I have now set both WP, the WHMCS and the client template, what is best to do, create the packages on WHM and import to WHMCS or the other way around? thanks
