Hi, I am going to start a new content based website. This will cover each and every aspect of the contents covering wide varieties of topics like health, internet, marketing, beauty, pets, food etc. Do you think this will be a good idea to implement? Also shoould I design it on drupal or wordpress. I am thinking of buying hosting from hostmonster. What you think about their repo. I think this will be good to initially not put any ads on the website. I can put them afterwards after my website got established and start getting organic hits. what you people say? Plz help
I would prefer to have each topic hosted on a subdomain. For example, pets.maindomain.com, marketing.maindomain.com It has a slight SEO Advantage! I think wordpress or Zoomla. Either of them are a very good options. Drupal not much experience, so I can't comment on that Make sure u prepare a checklist for all yr requirements. Then ask your host. If all options available, pay for it. If not satisfied, there is always a 30 day money back guarantee. Why wait till you get organic traffic. Why not monetize from start. What difference does it make? I personally prefer, if your intention is to monetize from site, then why wait till u get some organic traffic or high traffic. Although the income may be less initially due to low traffic, but any revenue is good. In fact you can use that revenue to get traffic from sponsor ads from Google or overture!
Why wait to put ads on the site? Visitors don't seem to mind ads, unless they are a bunch of pop-ups.
