Starting new web site

    Hey all,
    I am starting new site so I need some help. First I don't know what is better blog or web site... I have some money for domain and hosting so that isn't problem. Then I don't know what is good idea for site. First I was thinking to make one project and it was perfect idea but it's too big for me... So now I don't know what is better site about funny videos, programing tips, web store or making money. Please help me and answer on my questions. Thx!

    My suggestion would be to start small and gradually build your experience and as you learn more expand your website to areas which you have expertise on. If you start a blog do on your own domain. Joomla is an excellent CMS for all purposes.

    Thx Sadikb...

    I was reading many tips, and posts on this and other forums about making good web site... Also I have some ideas and I designed some templates in photoshop, but I don't know what will I do when I make that site... I can write articles on it but how can I make traffic... that is a question.. :p So I need idea for my web site that will users love...

    Do both. Put a blog in your site.

    Problem solved.

    But do keep in mind that practically all Internet users do not go to blogs and message boards, so you will have a tough road ahead of you.

    I would say make what you have experience in. If you are good at writing, make a blog. Good at advertising and marketing, open a business.

    A blog and a website aren't really different: you can easily use WordPress to look like a static website. WordPress is free, lots of support and is very search engine friendly so thats a good place to start. But the most important place to start is how are you going to make money from the keywords you select. Stay well away from the make money online niche instead find something people will buy especially now that the economy is in a mess and you want to make money online
