Starting Link Competition

    I was wondering... I was thinking of starting a web design online business. I wanted some opions on what an aveage competition pool would be good to fight against on google for SEO???

    Like what kind of competition should I fight against for a keyword with a brand new website???

    go for 3 worded keywords first like
    web design newyork, web design service etc
    once achieved the top spot, go for two worded.
    the market is competitive so try to participate and promote your service in forums

    Target keywords that is not too competitive but has high search volume.

    I understand that but I would also like to know what is a good competition number to start up against using these techniques, like 1,000,000 or like 5,000,000 or like 10,000,000?

    It is a wide idea to choose less competitive keywords. Better use SEO Elite to analyze your competitors. From there, you can make a plan on what linkbuilding strategies are needed.

    Target keywords like "Like to design" which are long tail keywords and is not too competitive also. I would suggest you to go with specific long tail keywords which gets higher traffic.
