I'm about to start a hosting company ^^.
I already started but my old company..Bldhosting.net been down for over 2-3 days now, and haven't gotten fix, and i'm playing to move the hostgator.
What should i include when i restart it? I already got > Live Support online/Email support. I got WHMCS . I got a template. Is there anything else i might need to know ?

Hostgator does not allow overselling. So if you get the 12000 MB plan, you can make only 12 x 1000 MB accounts, or something similar. You may want to consider that before moving.

Hostgator reseller is very good as you get a lot of things for free (WHM etc.) but like said above, you can't oversell which sometimes sucks big time...

So maybe you can search google ;)

Don't used HG reseller plan coz they have many limitation such as cpu usage, user content etc.
And its expensive. You can get better deal if you search at DP web hosting section.Other than that, you need to know where to get client and how to handle the complaint made by customer

I shall agree with the above, they do limit resources, and they do not allow overselling so don't plan on including 8GB Plans or Plus cause you cannot make very many of them.

Do some more looking around my friend!

Ill tolerate the posts that HG do not allow overselling, and are not by any means the cheapest reseller plans out there - but this is outright wrong.

The HG reseller has great support. Their live support is on 24/7, and they respond to tickets ujsually within the hour.

Im a reseller with them, and I use their live support all the time. They even help with stuff that they probably shouldnt - I had some issues with a HTML form that I thought was host related - it wasnt but they fixed the code for me anyway.

They are worth the few extra $ / month any day.

You'll notice im not trying to sell any HG product either - this is my honest opinion! I will not move off HG for any amount of saving.

Sounds to me like you need a better business plan. Being a reseller with a host that has downtime will destroy your reputation. And moving from one reseller host to another does not solve your issue. It just pisses off customers that have to be moved over and over again, to just another crappy host.
Invest in a VPS, servint.com or buyavps.com - No need to move constantly and room to grow.

You can get a VPS for $30-$60 a month. You don't go with the cheapest option that will bring you downtime. A good hosting company builds its reputation on stability and support. Downtime will bring you a mass of angry customers that will be more than happy to bash you in public forums and review sites.

A VPS investment is again - a business investment. Good way to offer
    1. Great reliable service
    2. Less downtime
    3. VPS companies usually have better support than reseller hosts

If your looking for another host, I would definitely recommend staying away from oversellers. Your looking to provide quality hosting to your clients and if one of them decides to use a bit of resources, all your accounts would be suspended immediately. I would just get a reseller with a host that doesn't oversell or a managed VPS.

Getting a reseller would be ideal if you need to start cheap. I highly suggest that you invest in a VPS or dedicated server now, to save you and your future clients the trouble of moving between servers.

Well, if he sticks with a host that offers shared, reseller, VPS, and dedicated servers then he shouldn't have any problems. Usually the upgrades at those hosts result in little or no downtime at all.
