Starting from scratch to making revenue?

Well I'm going to start from scratch, and I'm looking for professional advice as to whether or not this method will work.

    1. Release a series of sites such as BuildYourOwnDesktop.com, PlayGuitarIn30minutes.com, and TakePicsForCash.com. Basically anything that is appealing to the general public.

    2. Between me and my small team, (of 3 or 4 people) we will fill the sites up with content to where it's a fully functional website.

    3. Come back here and set up threads for stumbleupon, digg, and regular link/banner exchanges. I want to get to at least 100UVs per day this way, to start out with.

    4. Repeat step 3 until I have a decent amount of visitors and page rank.

    5. Get in on some ad networks such as ValueClickMedia, Clicksor, Adsense, ect. and start making revenue.

    6. Repeat and expand.

My general goal is to make a series of websites that will pay for themselfs after the first several weeks. Then after several months, be able to bring in a decent amount of revenue to invest in more websites - and to reap a little bit of profit in the process.

Eh, I know I'm new to all this stuff - but advice, suggestions, and general feedback is greatly appreciated. I just want to know if all this is plausible.

    Thanks.

Check out the free ebook "Niche Feast" in my sig. It's 100% free, no signing up for anything...

I wouldn't do this usually but I think you need to focus on your Niche Research and go from there. This will be the best way to start off.

Without researching the niche - you're just wasting your time, to be honest. You can make a ton of money if you study the niche and know what they want.

The idea is feasible, the motive is not. Add sites because you want to contribute something truly useful, not to make money. If the content is good monetizing will be easy.

I agree with freediver, the product should be able to sell it's self. First Sow then Reap.
Don't forget, in IM, dose not matter how good the product is if no one knows it's there.

Multiple web sites with same type of content would be more like, if i may add a
    "MemberShip Site" of some kind.

From a marketer's eyes then; Marketing endeavors consisting of content
should/would be built around & bring key word search results.

Keep in mind when building sites & publishing content,
The url's are the first thing the search eng. see's.
I have had good page results because of the url wording alone.
Thats a plus for me, i dont write.

Visit the marketing forum at my sig.. There's "Marketer's there".

pm me if you have questions.

Wow, everyone sure has something to advertise.

Relient, the best advice is to never wait for results. You get Website A up and running and filled with content, move on to Website B while A is getting indexed and crawled. B is up and live, now work on C. A watched pot never boils just like your website never gets crawled when your stats page is open. ;)

make sites on things you know about, or have a keen interest in.

Don't make a site about something you don't know any thing about because you are destine to fail.
