I recently obtained a pretty solid domain for selling music merchandise (tshirts, stickers, etc). However, I have never created an online store before and am wondering where to get started. I am not worried with the actual site itself (I'd probably use something like OSCommerce with a custom template) but rather, where am I supposed to get the inventory from? Are there any wholeseller/reseller sites where I can purchase cheap bulk band tshrits and merch? I briefly looked into the music labels' sites but could not find any such info. Or should I give up this idea and turn it into something else?
Nobody who sells that stuff is gonna give up their sources. Having a good domain name is nothing if you don't have a good product. By good I mean cheaper than everybody else, of coursr Try it, don't give up! I did, too, without knowing anything about this stuff(selling online)
You can open a store at places like Cafe Press and Spreadshirt. They won't let you sell copyrighted stuff like band t-shirts, though. Maybe you can get some bulk deals on stuff like that through eBay?
