Just wondering i have the domain I have the hosting I need suggestion for some free script and i need to know whether its profitable or no
as long as it gets good traffic and relivant users surely profitable, ensure that you make a promotion budget, as lot of directories are floating and its very competitive.
Not unless you have a decent budget - maybe at least $1000. There are too many of them around and it is very difficult for low PR directories to get submissions (paid) nowadays.
Just by having a domain and hosting doesnt mean that you can make money easily. I am not rude and please dont take me wrong. If that was true then every directory owner would be making good money from their directories. Have a solid business plan. it is profitable but you have to work hard with it.It's been 7 months know i am able to earn $400+ from my directory.
It is a business, it needs start up capital, a solid business plan and a lot of blood/ sweat / tears but there is no reason why it cant be profitable. Most fail because people think they just need a script and then they can sit back and plan their retirement for year end.
Choose a blog within a niche. Offer free listing for the first 3 months so people can spread the word. Come up creative link bait that will attract visitors to the site. Do some keyword research and work on some SEO. Buy some links. After that, move onto the next one! Good luck!
i think Directories are like hosting sites ur going to put in a lot of time but its going to take a long time to make money
I would get the paid version of PHPLD and make sure you have a couple thousand for promotion and advertising. This is the only way to get on top of the industry. Its is very competitive and new directories come along everyday, so you have to stand out! Good luck with it!
like most others have already said only if you manage to drive in loads of traffic and you can make some profit. Also, you can strategically place Affiliate links to make as much as you can from the site.
Just starting a directory will not make you earn. Start a directory Promotion It (SEO ; get PR) And then u can earn!
depending on some factors, first you submit it to almost 2000 directories,then definitely you site give you a great revenue.
