Starting CPL program for my software company...need feedback

I'm working at a software company that sells software/service products that range in price from $20k-$200k+.

Obviously with those kinds of sales we can afford to pay a higher CPL than most however my big concern is quality of leads.

The products are B2B and I'm not sure how people feel about promoting B2B products. The main challenges I see are as follows:

    • Most affilates are looking for a quick score on CPL programs and this is definitely not a quick "throw crap traffic at it and hope it converts" type of deal.
    • As my chief concern is quality, I would want the leads to be qualified in some way (such as making sure they are within the appropriate industries, etc.). Is this something that would turn away many of you potential affiliates?
    • Given that this is a low-volume, high-ticket item product, and the fact that leads would need to be qualified, this might make it seem like it would be a hard-to-convert program although the rewards would be higher. I'm also concerned people would give up if they didn't see conversions the week or so.

I'm really curious on everybody's thoughts around those points. Despite these challenges is the opportunity to make up to $50/qualified lead worth it to you? The program hasn't started yet so i'm still looking at the actual commission amount still but it would be significant.

I'll be checking this post frequently and would be more than happy to clarify things and discuss further.
