I am trying to get started in article marketing. Does anyone have any tips or resources for a beginner? I read the Bum Marketing Method, but am still unsure on what affilliate programs and article directories to use, and whether or not to use landing pages. Thanks! ;] kw
ezinearticles.com is probably where you should initially send all of your articles. After acceptance, maybe spread the love to handfull of other directories. As far as I know ezinearticles is one of a few places that actually has readers and will help your articles rank well in search engines.
1. Yes, USE landing pages! Each ad and or article should match each page in your site. 2. Just about all directories are useless. Try the most popular ones, and you will see what I mean in no time. 3. Yes, use affiliates. Go to such places as ClickBank. Many have said that they didn't make any money, but it is according to what the e-book is about, and how to help and show the affiliates on how to get your name out there. Most of them don't know how to properly do it. 4. Submit to Websites that has readers who may like your e-book. Do a slew of keyword searches to find them. Each day set aside a couple of hours on each keyword. Type it in, and then pick out sites on the first, oh, say, 50 pages to contact. Then move on to the next keyword. Don't forget to look at their ads also. They may not be in a search but you know they are out there by their ads. Don't be afraid to submit to MSN, Yahoo, AOL, big online magazines, like iVillage and Askmen.... But first show your articles to message board members and friends for critique. Do pay per click ads on as many sites as you can possibly afford. But first show your ads for critique. "Would you click on this ad?" For affiliate program, I thoroughly you to join ClickBank.
