    Hi,

I'm starting an ecommerce store and have been told that *the* most important factor is the site being search engine optimised. None of that flashy animation stuff, just pure search engine food :D

The store will be aimed at the UK market, with a .co.uk domain name, and the first push of customers coming from Google AdWords.

I am no rush to sell a lot for the first few weeks but would like to be in the top 10 for my niche category on the UK search engines, and hopefully making sales without the need for Adwords. I have about 20 products for sale, only adding one or two every few months.

So does anyone have any recommendations on how I can get my store off to a great start with regards to creating a store that will be picked up by the search engines? Any tips? Software? Scripts?

Any help will be appreciated! And if there are any DPers new to ecommerce out there that want to start an ecommerce store feel free to shoot me a PM and maybe we can discuss things :)
