I am in the middle of finishing my e-commerce website (selling services) and I am looking for a serious US partner. The reason for me for seeking a US partner is me being in Egypt and having many restrictions on obtaining an Internet Merchant Account that I can use to handle the large projected monthly sales. Using a 3rd party payment processor is not an option for me due to a) the necessity for using my company descriptor b) the necessity for releasing funds quickly c) the necessity for billing my customers on my company website instead of redirecting them to the 3rd party processor payment page. My expectation is to find a full partner/investor or at least a man-in-the-middle - i.e, someone who register a company name in the US using his details and obtain a merchant account of the company that I can use on my company website, then he deducts the MA/Bank fees, gateway fees, etc.. along with his commission and then wire transfer the funds to my local bank account. Of course some guarantees should be arranged between us to minimize the risks involved. Feel free to PM me if highly interested or to post your feedback. Thanks, Hossam
For example 2Checkout.com releases funds every week and their commission about 5%. I think you will pay your US partner more than 5%...
You will have to look into if there's any regulations in place, sending money from a business in the US to a person (which isn't connected to the business) and living in Egypt. Could be perceived as money laundering.
The same concept is applied to opening a Delaware company, US checking bank account and renting a virtual office.. Then transfer the funds eventually to Egypt. Besides, how come that person in Egypt (me) is not connected to the business? Does starting a LLC company for an exmaple requires all the partners to be holding the US nationality or living among the US borders?!
I was about to start a thread of the same topic but found that I already started one more that a year ago. If there is anyone serious and interested please post. If anyone have relevant legal concerns that I might be missing please post. Thanks, Hossam
