I am planning to start an affiliate using wordpress. But my dilemma is whether to use it as a blog or as a static website. It will be based on Inkjet printers. Please help me decide which path to choose. Once again: I want to decide whether to use blog posts to write the review of the products or whether to create individual pages(like a static site). Any suggestions other than this are also welcome. Thanks.
Ya, wordpress has too many plugins. Thats the great thing about it. But i want to know whether i should create it like a blog by writing posts at regular interval or by creating pages, hence making it a static site?
wordpress is a CMS so a lot of things are taken care of. But if you are good at programming a static page would be easier.
Make it a real review site. Static articles are the key. You can use a CMS for that, but separate the articles from the worse 'blog' posts. Highlight your content. Then join ad networks that specialize in product review sites... Like mine (sig).
There is an $18 discount on the WP Review Site plugin for Digital Point members only: https://www.wpreviewsite.com/buy?code=dp2008 The advantage of WordPress is that editing and adding pages to the site is easy, and you have plugins available to add functionality, whether the site is intended to be largely static or updated.
Ok. So i have decided to create static pages and updeate it with new reviews evey now and then. thanks to all for replying.
