I have some experience in running business websites, and I am thinking about starting an affiliate management site. I am curious if anyone has any experience with these sites, and am wondering the requirements. Also, I am curious as to how the affiliate managers get their offers.
Yes absolutely..you have to obviously build a system like CJ or Linkshare where you have merchants and affiliates. The system has to track properly to make sure affiliate are getting their sales. You can get offers from a lot of sources. This can definitely be done, I would recommend having some programmers build it in php from scratch with all your specs.
Are there any good pre built scripts for sale on the net that you would recommend? I have looked around on Hotscripts at their affiliate network scripts, but its hard to decide when I don't really know what I am looking for.
It tough because its always best to have your own written so you can modify it as you wish. iDevAffiliate is pretty good...
I have seen a script called something like Easy JV & Affiliate - I read the instructions and it definitely wasn't easy. Trust in some of the professional scripts like iDevAffiliate - at least they have different pricing ranges and they also have support.
If you want to build a CPA Network then most of them use DirectTrack. Here is some quick information about some of what DirectTrack has to offer plus a link to their site. I am not 100% sure, but believe that DirectTrack may already come with some offers or have a way of easily getting some offers to start your network of with. It's best if you check DirectTrack out and look at all of the stuff they have to offer to see if they do populate your new network with some offers or not.
