I'm starting an ad network and I'm looking for the right software to get me going. A custom solution is a bit pricy so I don't want to jump at it just yet, but I can't seem to find any ad servers that fit my needs at a price thats within budget.

Heres a brief list of features that I require.

    Publisher interface
    • View News Posts
    • Traffic statistics
    • Revenue
    • CPM
    • Geographic Distribution
    • Channals
    • Get Ad Code
    • Payment History
    • Update User Profile
    • Contact Form

    Advertiser Interface
    • View News Posts
    • Traffic Statistics
    • Total Expense
    • CPM
    • Geographic Distribution
    • Channals (Campaigns)
    • Payment History
    • Pause/Start Campaign
    • New Campaign
    • Update User Profile
    • Contact Form

    Administrator Interface
    • Traffic Statistics
    • Total profit and payouts
    • Geographic Distributions
    • Access Publisher/Advertiser Account
    • Reset Account Password
    • Activate Publisher Accounts
    • Create Advertiser Accounts
    • Suspend Publisher/Advertiser Account
    • Approve New Advertiser Campaign
    • Send All Publishers/Advertisers Email
    • Make News Posts for Publishers/Advertisers

I'd preffer this to run on linux, but windows is ok too. Also I preffer to buy a software license rather then pay to rent a license or pay for a hosted solution but if the price is affordable then thats ok too.

I'd really hate to go with a custom solution due to the pricing and time constraints as well as reliability concerns but it seems like the only way to go.

www.phpadsnew.com is what I use, there are some modification projects out there that will handle everything you need... It's very powerful and the best part: it's free.

I actually decided to go with custom solution from a programming firm, if you would be interesting in splitting costs and each of us getting a copy of the final software, please PM me.

I have been looking for similar solution a while ago and because I didn't found an out of the box solution I just dropped it. phpadsnew is good but you have still to edit and add features, customize it and if you're going to do that then you better go for a complete custom solution as you did. I think it's the best way for a serious project.
