    Hi ,
Is it illegal to start a youtube channel and upload other's videos ? for example , downloading funny videos from a facebook page and then upload it on youtube ?
I have about 100GB of funny video clips that i can start a channel ,
How about creating a Facebook Page and upload these videos there ?

If the owner of video has reseved rights it is not permitted to make money on this product without contract. But most of funny videos have no protection from the owner's side and you can easily use those videos to upload them to your channel.

Keep in mind that all creative works in the US (videos, movies, music, photos, books, etc.) are automatically protected by copyright when they are created whether or not the creator has paid for an official copyright. You are only safe from lawsuits if the video in question specifically states that it is public domain or creative commons. If it does not say either of these you could be sued in the future for posting that video. So, my best advice, always assume that you don't have rights to repost anything. Try to contact the creator and get those rights in writing to save the need for a lawyer in the future.

It's really best to create and use your own videos. That way you don't have to worry about copyrights, etc. You are the owner.

Its totally illegal but you can do it by adding some more content to downloaded video by using Window Movie Maker more easily. Just add some slides or relevant images at first and end of video then deleting and removing chances by Youtube become more lesser.

More importantly, uploading videos that you don't own is against the law. At the least you are opening up yourself to a lawsuit. Better safe than broke.

It's just like you want to duplicate others content and make it as your own piece and this is an obvious mistake to do. Try to make your own video which is related to your field and make it interesting and engaging to your targeted viewers.

Youtube wont accept you to monetize duplicate videos upto the time you have copy rights.. Its better to create your own videos. A lot of video creating software are there.

Well why do you think those videos are not monetized already?
Reason, most of them are copyrighted and the uploader does not want to get in problem or youtube has restricted them in first place. So I don't think you should even think of monetizing them, rather make your own videos and earn from them instead.

Why do you depend on others videos, you have many options to create your own videos and upload it to YouTube... If you create your own unique videos the you will get benefit in lot of ways...

Legalities like this are awkward and complex.

For example the original creators/publishers of the original video may have been infringing copyright themselves if music or content that didn't belong to them was used.

That being ruled out it comes down to permission from the content owner some people may never file a complaint about infringement of copyright some may. Personally it's a complex area of law and I think it all comes down to how much money is being made. If someone is making a substantial amount of money and it's through someone else's content then it's only reasonable to expect a copyright infringement complaint some where down the line this is what happens to any large company e.g. YouTube etc.

Sorry I couldn't give you a more precise answer.

You might be better of creating and using your own videos. Then you don't have to worry about Yahoo cancelling your account and
creating a lot of frustration for you...
    Just create your own....

Whether or not you can share these videos on your own channel depends on the rights the original owner gives out. It's always best to ask the owner before using it.
