If there is anyone out there with experience or knowledge on web hosting companies I'd just like to know a few things on the actual hosting of a site side of things:

    1. What software is required to add domains and hosting including bandwidth limits, storage limits, etc
    2. How much would it cost
    3. Would it be good to hire a dedicated server and use this software to add customers
    4. Any extra tips

Hope you guys can help :)

OMG...if you don't know the what you are asking..don't get into hosting. I was in hosting..you will lose your life. You will be thank me that you are not in hosting business unless you have lots of initial($1mil +) investment.

Try Hostgator or other hosting affiliate program first.

cPanel with WHM is the software you can you for this. If you are new into this, then I'd rather advise you to get a reseller insted of Dedicated server.

Start with a reseller or private label account.

Personally I don't think there is as much money in hosting now as hosting plans are far cheaper than what they use to be. You can get hosting for $3 per month and stuff. Imagin having about 200 people on that server. You would earn around $600 for hosting plus any extra's. Now out of that you have to pay for the dedicated server, the cost of your time will come into it, plus having to probably deal with many of them customers from problems that they have every other day.

If you purchase a dedicated server, then I would think that you should be able to do all of this hosting accounts stuff with cpanel. They have this sort of feature in place so that you can create accounts for many users.
