    Hey,

Me and my partner are thinking of starting up a warez blog, not actually going to host any files but more of a portal. I believe it is illegal to host any copyrighted material.

Anyone would like to share there thoughts on the subject? Where the sources of income could come from?

    Cheers

Yup, I would also recommend Adbrite. I've also seen a campaign on various CPA networks and it's called usenext. You could try getting signups there. Oh and instantdollarz has a useful content unlocking tool where the end user has to complete a free offer (or offers) in order to unlock your site's content. I'm not sure whether InstantDollarz likes warez sites though...

If your "business" goes something like this:
    1. Surf warez forums, blogs, etc
    2. Copy the links and description
    3. Post it on your site

Well you won't have much of a business I can assure you that. Not that I'm against Warez, but unless you got nullers, crackers, and can get your hands on 0 day releases you don't stand much of a chance. Last time I used Adbrite I got payed literally pennies for clicks.

    Thanks for all your feedback,
Gonna give it a try and experiment with different marketing strategies, i'm not sure what google is like with warez sites but hopefully with some of our own content and other sources it should do quite well. ;)

I partly disagree. You can have unique content but you will need a keyword generator. Not a generic but specific keywords related to movies, music etc.I do not know a ready solution for you except if you can implement one.

What's a nuller? I googled it but couldn't find any information.
