Starting a site

    Hey, I'm starting a new site, I have 80$, I want to start a site with something simple to use, like Joomla, so I would like to use Joomla, but what would my site niche be? Please don't tell me your niche, tell me something like webmaster tools, show reviews and etc.

    use g00gle's keyword tool to look for keywords & competition .. once u find a nice keyword buy a domain with that included.

    popular trends at the moment: technology, weight loss, health, love, entertainment, politics, swine flu :D ... these are general terms... just search in deeper ;)

    Its advisable to start a niche that you having interest in.
    There is no point by starting a site that you don't have interest coz over time you'll get bored doing this and then fed up.

    Start with the theme weight loss or health problems, recession is also much popular now a days.

    I would suggest you to choose a topic that has demand for atleast 6 months down the line.
    And for swine flu, it is already late and the hype does not exsist.

    The point here is, Can you write articles yourself?
    For $80, a blog would be much better than a website.
    And for a blog it would be again WP that rocks for the beginners and not joomla.

    Read the market, research, analyze, buy a keyword rich domain name ( a.com is more worth), get a reliable hosting, start wp. Get the quality content done keeping in mind the SEO, build backlinks by submitting rewritten articles to article directories, submitting your links to link directories.

    And one cannot let these all things happen in short period of time.
    So, carefully choose on what to outsource and what not to. Their lies the real business.
