It's always worth it if you can get a following. The only bad thing about poker right now is the government trying to ban online gambling so it's up to you.

well, people wont be able to pay to play, just play for free and learn about gambling etc, there will be ads to other gambling sites though

It's the ads to other gambling sites that may be the problem. I own a poker related site (sig) and need to pay more attention to the laws coming soon but they are going to be changing for US people. I honestly don't know how it affects affiliates yet, maybe someone else can give info on that because that is what I'm worried about at the moment.

Interesting - I recently started one for live games - PokerDIY... It's going to be the MySpace of the live poker market (finding games, tracking score over leagues).

But competition is healthy - so go for it ;)

I had tried out the online gambling/poker thing.

It has some very tough competition to monetize based on affiliates. I know a few easy ways to do it, but it does cost some money...which I don't have atm.

Send me a PM if your interest

Did you ever move on this Glen? Would be interested to see where you got! We also launched a poker community last year and are having some success!
