I had the idea of starting a paid online directory for businesses in my area. It would be a paid directory with a recurring annual listing fee. I planned on starting the fees at a modest $20 or so dollars/year and as the directory grows, I would raise the fees. Have any of you had experience with a local directory and is it a worthwhile investment of time and money? Any thought you may have on the topic would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I don't know if you went through economics or not but you might not necessarily want to raise the price after you get alot of people in the directory.
