starting a new directory

    after a break from the directory biz,im starting a new one this week..wanted an opinion..i think $1 for submissions is a fair price,and $2 for featured as this site will be tightly controlled on spam links and promoted in a very responsible way..should i start charging at first,or build links then start charging?

    You should promoted your directory before charging anything. If you think you do not want free inclusions keep the directory closed for new submissions until the directory gets indexed, and have considerable number of links.

    I think you should develop the directory first and build up content before thinking of charging for reviews.

    thanks all for the opinions..i think i will build up links first,maybe make a post here and accept a handful of sites for free then open up for paid reviews later..@stoner3221 intentions are to make a great,spammy link free directory with a very low cost option for submitters..
