yeah I think I should make it in html...every dam site for my space codes is in php and has a million ads jumping at you, I deffiantly need to make the ads look hot and only have a few like 1 or 2 on the front page lol...

as for the domain name its .net but its a nice domain...would this be a downfall?

    .com/.org/.info were all goneeeeeeee...:(

seriously though, if you make your site easy to use you'll get a lot of love..

i was browsing myspace customization sites the other day but gave up because they were all too confusing. they'd show in my google results but once i got there i couldn't quickly locate what i was looking for.

if you build it, they will click !

How does making it in .html or .php work out? You're seriously going to manually edit every page when you need to make a change? Or are you using Dreamweaver's inbuilt template system?

With a .net domain name, you'll lose a small percentage of your traffic to mistypes for .com. As silly as it may sound, a large number of the browsing public will just remember the name of the site and will often forget the TLD suffix.

With all the myspace sites do they just rip each others codes & images off or are people actually building these themselves?

Why not do it KGL? I have one and I make a good side income for myself. I haven't ever promoted it and it makes money on it's own. Made $22 yesterday when I actually updated something, lol.

I think about 90% of the MySpace website are based off of the same script. So the answer would be to make it user friendly.... I admit I've started one a few weeks ago and it brings in over 1k uniques/day .... and I really haven't even promoted it all that much, it still is only about 75% complete as I have to re-do much of the code, but people are visiting.

Yeah I have one of those, but it had a ton of stuff I haven't seen elsewhere and I also customized it and created my own generators and stuff and pictures that I haven't seen on other sites. :D
