What's the best way to do this?

I want to start a membership site on a "so & so" subject, where people can get good content. Then they can get better content by signing up for a service that is updated daily?

I want it to be a blog too. Is there a way to do this, so I can get a Members area?

Thanks in advance for the input.

You need to provide more information chief.

Not sure what a "so so" subject is. But membership sites are easy enough. However, you must have good content, not always unique. Lots of it. Plus, if there is competition, you must do something better than they do...

    Better Traffic
    Better Conversions
    More updates
    Better quality

Something that makes you better than your competitors. There are a lot of different ways, processors, and both questions and answers depending on what you are trying to do. So you need to get down to the nuts and bolts of it, including what you will be offering of value that's different then others.

You do not have to be unique. That's a fairytale many tell. Case in point, Google. But you do have to improve on it somehow adding better value. Then charge for it.

I'm not talking about how to get success off of one, I'm talking about setting one up.

    Right.

There is more to answer than just the technical side. If you can't explain how it's going to work (i.e. content management, and from the surfer/member side of the equation), then, as before, there is no simple answer.

A membership site is not a easy, instant cash, money maker. If you think that it is, then you have already lost.

    haha yes I know that.

Ok here is the whole play by play.

You get to the site, and you want to lose weight, you go through all the sections and stuff, find everything you want. Then maybe the person wants more, they sign up for like a 3 month or 1 month subscription of whatever, and by this they get a newsletter, better and more in depth content. Then they can also get a lot more features.
