    Hi
We are planning to start a hosting company targeting sales from adwords .. Concept is quite simple buy one dedicated server from big brand and start selling our own hosting at cheap rates ....
So my question is how many peoples renew hosting from companies in general ..
What are the other things need to care to make hosting company successful .

You will need to invest, I would say at least $5,000 to start off for advertisement. I think 3/10 new businesses are Web Hosting Companys so you need to make yourself out there...

depends on the service imo - I use unitedhosting, service is faultless, have looked for cheaper options, but so far nothing compares. As long as I am designing sites and hosting for my clients, united can count on my renewal.

I agree with what everyone else has said, as long as you have great uptime and support you should be able to retain most of your customer base.

It all depends on you m8, if your hosting sucks youll loose all important clients but if you have good support and good hosting ill guess there is no need to change host then even if you should have little higher prices

webmaster stick to big brands because finding a reliable host is difficult these days, as they have some really lame TOS. SO i wonder that you really have to make it big as far as advertising is concerned.
you will have to go for lot of paid hosting reviews of your hosting etc..
    Good luck.

don't forget the backend aspect of your hosting company...

you will need a billing system, probably merchant account, a platform for order processing (one for either manual processing or automated processing), support system and accounting and recordkeeping software.
