How should I set up the gaming forum?

    I'll be starting a gaming forum and I'm debating how to set up the gaming forums.

    Should I do

    a) Forums by console
    b) Forum by type of game (RPG, action, etc.)
    c) Forum by popular game series ( Halo, WoW, Call of Duty) etc.

    Anyone run a gaming forum that could chime in on what they are doing and what works best would be much appreciated! Also if you are or were to be a part of a gaming community what would you prefer? Thanks.

    I'd go by the genre of game, then inside there categorize them by their system.
