I recently got a list of DoFOllow blogs from http://www.moneyfellas.com/forums/g...dofollow-links-above-pr2-no-restrictions.html I want to create a DoFollow SearchEngine with this list (I will take the list of DoFollow blogs and add'em all with Google Coop).! I hope lot of noobs and many webmasters are looking for quick linkbuilding options! So, Will it(a DoFollow Searchengine) be a profitable site? Any promotion Tips? Are you advising me to start this or not? Any help?
Hmm... a friend from Romania has this site, dofollow .ro but i dont see any way you could profit from the site... You can put some ads, targeted to SEO and SEM results but that's about all you can hope...
I think it has a lot of potential. At least I find the idea really interesting. As you can see many people are creating blog or forum posts guiding how you can get dofollow blog/ forum list, which means there is a demand in this market. However I would recommend addition to dofollow blog search, you can incorporate dofollow forum, video sites in this search engine. It would add a lot of value to it.
whoispixel has a point. Starting a site like this could have limited ways of making a profit. There are lots of SEs out there that even in Google, you can search for do follow sites or blogs. Just my 2cents.
I run a paid dofollow search engine. It's a LOT of work. I charge for access to my tool. Which you can't do with a google CSE. I created a custom search engine using a powerful enterprise grade system that can spider million's of pages. The way you make money with a google CSE is with the ad that can be displayed around it. I would count on making much. I had what I'd consider a very popular run with a free google CSE in February and made about $5. I had about 10,000 page views that month. Users just aren't likely to click on ads. They want the dofollow backlinks only. Best of luck.
