I own a great .com domain name for a dating site. The only issue I have at the moment is that I am just couple months away to graduate from the university and my budget is very tight. I am qualified in Marketing and Online Marketing and it is very easy for me to promote a new website. Since I am looking for a partner to help me with a small start up (funds to buy the license) this is what I have on my mind: I consider to refund my partner on a monthly base, paying 10-15GBP till I reach the 50% payment paid for the license and from there we are equal partners. (The license now costs 100 GBP and the "powered by" removal costs an extra 65GBP). I plan this project for a long term, the SEO will probably take me up to a year since this is a very popular niche, my partner will probably don't like to wait this much and I will not like to argue with him on small issues like this. Before I get myself in such a partnership, I will like to know if anyone have or had a similar situation? I even consider waiting to graduate and buy the license myself but there is a good discount now at the software I am interested to use on my website. I spend really much time online and I do have time to start working on the promotion of the site, this couple of months I have to graduate I could use this time for SEO. I plan to leave the site ads free and free membership at least half or even a year in order to populate. I know that million others tried online dating sites and many failed, what I will be so different from them is probably my belief in this project, my skills to promote and also my domain will help me a lot, it is a very good .com domain - have spent a month to research for the name. I know there are really good experts here and I am very curious to hear your advice for my situation. If I am not addressing to the right people (I don't know other great forum than DP), can you please point me to a better source for my issue? Thank you! Rob
My advise is you do this site using your own $$ coz partnership is difficult to manage. You better concentrate on your career. You can afford to buy the script when you get your pay check.
Ohh no not another dating site be serious there are milions what's your site unique ? And no abolutly no with partnerships ...
