Started my blog today, am I on the right track?

    well today I finally got my blog up and I was wondering If I did everything right so far:
    I...
    1. Submitted every static page and every post to the major bookmarking sites
    2. Made a new post for the day
    3. Went blog commenting to get higher SERP's
    4. Announced the new website

    You seem on the right way. When you comment on other blogs do not only aim for the very popular ones. Instead go for medium and small blogs too as these bloggers are more probable that they will come to your's.

    i think your missing article marketing. You need to build that list aswell. all the big and medium blogs do it and you should to.

    Yep A LOT of articles into Ezine will help in the long run as you will see a slight SERPS boost. Plus you can target your preferred anchor text.
