Ok so this site is brand new, has no traffic history, has no written content, purely image based, aimed at people aged 20-30, and has potential to go viral. Think "meat spin" but family friendly. The design is such that it encourages people to click "refresh" button, so theres a potential for high rate of impressions, maybe 10-15 per user. Now, do I opt for CPM based advertising, or CPC? A combo of both? The issue being that because its not a 'niche / content'-driven website, that filling the ad spots with decent paying ads will be quite hard. I'm considering adult-oriented CPC and CPA strategies as well. What would you do in this situation?
If there's no content then put yourself in your visitors shoes, and try to find a product they would like. Then promote if with a nice affiliate link.
I have put myself in the visitors shoes, and Ive trialled the concept and its a successful one. Dont need to change anything about the site itself, just need to plan the best strategy for selling advertising and picking the right method. I spose I shoud make that clearer, may look like im trying to advertise my site - I'm not - I want to SELL advertising.
Ah, my bad. cheers. Yeah, Im leaning towards affiliate programs now. Anyone had any experience with good, high conversion affiliate sites? looking more likely its going to be adult advertising. prefer if the banners were at least only "softcore" and not hardcore banners,
