Dang dawg. If you're making money with that news site you ARE doing something special. Still i will be using your advice.

 

As much a people don't like it you still have to use all the advertising options. So spending 95% of your time on your own site won't attract a lot of visitors and lets not forget certain advertising techniques are used for different things, TE & Safelists are used to build your lists using squeeze pages, Article Marketing & Blog Commenting are used to build backlinks and gain direct visitors. There should be time made for all types of advertising if you want to be successful.

Used to, these days i have my hands full with my baby and need solid income and not an online venture. Solid income online takes a lot of time and effort .... unfortunately I don't have the time to put in the effort.

Yes some web sites need different methods, but all successful web sites - don't use much of the manual advertising and if they do it's very little .... a good web site is viral, is linked to by other web sites and gathers links naturally ....

If the time comes that I need links - I simply create posts on my own blogs - like on blogspot and wordpress, blogspot can be extra income in your pocket and wordpress hosted blogs are a good source of links and traffic.
