Hello fellow Dp'ers, I have been familiar with online ways of making money but never quite got it... just a few days back i heard of a kid [16 yrs old] making an average of 80+ dollars A DAY!, he's still in his high school yet it seemed very inspiring to me to go out and earn myself in the online arena thats where the "doh" moment occured cuz i didn't know... and i wanted to know a steady way of earning income... [like setting up something] i heard the recent talks over proxies in these forums but i dont quite think its such a great idea.. [personally i do not like adsense way of making money] my goal right now is to earn 1500$ before december 31st. can someone help me with any suggestions , even you might have been where i am right now, please help me... im 18 years old, and i know: graphic designing, website designing [without php], Search engine optimization and research, Quality article writitng i've tried all freelance websites with highs and lows but its all getting too competitive now... even a line of advice or a few words from you might help me so please
You definately have skills that are valuable for an online business - however, they are also skills that have a lot of competition. - Do you have a website of your own? - Have you done some Keyword Research? - What is you Love to do? - What is your passion? - Do some keyword research based on you answers. Develop a website around your passion - write quality content (or pay for it). Link to affilates and add Google Adsense. Do you have knowledge that everyone could use? Put it into an Ebook and sell it. Sounds like you need to explore more ideas and then develop a plan. Press on to Success, Jeff
I don't understand the connection between webdesign and php when you say "website designing [without php]"... Anyway, competition isn't a problem if you are good in what you do. Get a client, make him happy! he will referrer other clients, make them happy... Your first goal should be client satisfaction, not make money! I'm a freelancer designer/coder. I started at your age doing sites for $200. After a 3-4 months a guy contacted me to build a media/humor site for $1500. When I showed him the final work he decided to pay me $1800 hope this help! netbizman and andrews, thanks a lot for your replies my passion is in design, i love making fabulous stylish and graphically artististic websites which give a statement, something unique... yet userfriendly..[like apple] im sorry, i meant i know website designing, but i do not know the backend part of website coding[ planning to start classes from tomorrow] since i last posted i have taken a book to write many ideas which might be "workable".... im down to idea number 14 and im gettin good at imagining areas which haven't been developed or at least do not have much competition... one advise i would like to give... its common but maybe it might be of help... search on search engines for your ideas to see how competitive your niche might be.... for instance if you think about setting up a website for ringtones... type ringtones in google and check out the number of websites... my goal is to earn something good and decent [in thousands... ] before may 2008. [but $1500 before dec 31st] ^_^ i am thinking of setting up a blog, and a website with my idea to get started with.... i do not like adsense because google is just looting people of their money[i know its not googles fault... ] i just dont like ideas of advertising.... although i think ill be more concentrated in affiliate markets.... thank you very much
