What is stopping any one of you from starting a ticket sale website? I know perhaps the market is saturated. Is there opportunity? What do I need to know? How do I keep the events constantly updated? Is there an easy way to do this with affiliates, yet sell my own tickets? Ticketsnow.com offers the affiliate service, but all you do is sell their tickets for a 30% commission, big woop. I want something new. What can I expect? Any past experiences? Thanks, Clayton
The market is indeed saturated, so I'd stay well clear of it unless you have a good marketing plan in mind. If you want to earn from it, be prepared to invest a decent amount of money into advertising, link building and whatnot. The demand is there, it's just that the website that those buyers first see will get the money.
well what is the amount of time involved and would u need to man any telephones to provide a service, because at the end of the day 30% could be a lot easier
I don't mean to be rude, but how can you even think about opening a ticket sales site when you don't seem to know the first thing and obviously have not done any research on the subject? At least it seems this way from your posts. You can't just ask a couple of questions on a forum. Roll up your sleeves and do a little research. Jim
