Start a new directory - Yes or No?

    I consider starting my own directory. However, I'm new into directories and am not sure if it would work. My goal would be to make profit of around $100 daily. I think if I can get my directory to be PR7 (I would invest in a permanent PR8 link) and get some natural SEs traffic, this could work.

    However, I'm not sure about this, as I've noticed that the PR of Aviva directory dropped to just PR4 from PR7 (it was PR7, wasn't it?). This is because of Google's penalization for selling links. Do you think people stopped submitting to Aviva directory now that it's PR4 only?

    And could I be successful with just a PR4 directory?

    A well promoted directory can be successful regardless of PR in my opinion..

    Being successful really depends on the way that you promote your directories and also your budget. ;)
