Hello Everyone, I am new to adsense and wanted to get some advice. I have a blog with blogger.com. I figured this was a good place to start, and pay my dues. My blog is called thewalletsaver.blogspot.com. I have some questions on how to improve my blog. What kinds of ads and placements work well with a 3-column blogger template? Since I am new, should I also join affiliates or just say with adsense until I get more experienced? Should I add keywords that are related to the subject of my blog somewhere? At this point I don't have a lot of traffic, but what are the ways I can bring more traffic to my blog. Any help is greatly appreciated.

you can consider to use a ads heat map to roughly gauge where you want your ads to be placed. for 3 columns i would recommend to place your ads using a skyscrapper on the first bar nearest to your content.
Hi there You can follow my tips: 1. Your main keywords should go to your <title> and Sub title. 2. Place a horizontal Link bar which has high CTR (click-through-rate). 3. Wide skyscraper is also a good option for your side bar. 4. To bring traffic write 'unique' and 'useful' content....submit your "GR8" stories to places like netscape...and also stumble your site....using stumble upon. 5. Keep the title of the 'posts' short & meaning full. Choose something that people usually search for - for example instead of "Throwing away free money" use "Free money". This will give you some advantage in SERP. 6. Try to frequently Update your blog, Comment on other people's blog so that you can cr8 some sort of 'network'. 7. Register with all the BLOG networks like - blogcatalog.com and this will help you to get backlinks + traffic. Hope this helps.
