Well the trailer is now out: I'm now counting down the days till the movie comes out. Anyone else planning on watching it?
OMG, I'm already hyped. ^^ Although the trailer doesn't really show that much... ^^' The best piece of information is the German/Spanish/whatever translation of the title. I mean "The last Jedi" could be Singular or Plural, Rey and Luke vs. Rey or Luke. However, if you check out the translated movie titles, you'll see that the #1 option wins. "Die letzten Jedi" (German) for example clearly shows, that there must be more than one Jedi left!
Did u guys check out the 9gag post, where you can see an interview with Daisy Ridley titled as "REY KENOBI"? OH. MY. GOD.
It wouldn't surprise me if Finn were to turn out to be a Jedi, he seemed to sense the fear of all the people on them planets that the 1st Order blew up. At the very least he must be Force Sensitive. Poe might also be Force Sensitive to some degree because of his piloting skill
Can't find it anymore. >.< The search function @ 9gag is HORRIBLE and I couldn't even find it in my browser history, sorry!
If Rey is somewhat related to Obi Wan, her age is some what f****d up. It means she's older than Kylo Ren , She's conceived before Kenobi was killed by Vader... Or she could be a granddaughter of Obi Wan....
This gonna suck even worse than the last one The Farce Awakens. Just Disney doing fan service for a quick buck. Without Lucas there will NEVER be another Real Star Wars.
She's older than Kylo Ren? ... Hm... what do you think how old is she? Maybe we can reconstruct the case then.
What about Rogue One then? Simple answer to everything, including even being related to Palpatine. Clones. That's Lucas canon already, that you can make designer babies. Or, heck, Anakin had no father. Just the Will of the Force.
I'm going to watch it for sure. I'm just hoping the storyline isn't as familiar as it was in The Force Awakens. I liked The Force Awakens but it had too similar of a plot to A New Hope. If they keep the amazing visual effects with a unique storyline/plot then this movie will be worth the watch.
I had the same feeling: it was like a remix or a modern reboot of A New Hope. But you can see it as a lesson that "History Repeats itself". Still, aren't you guys glad that Star Wars is back in our lives with new material?
Rian Johnson took some risks, which was a refreshing move for a massive blockbuster like Star Wars. There were a couple excellent action sequences, but there were also some elements that fell flat for me (Leia scenes and the full conversations Rey and Ben had). Overall a solid blockbuster flick, but had potential to be much better in my opinion.
Good film, haven't watched the deleted scenes yet. I don't know how they'll write Leia out of the storyline for the next movie without featuring her.
